1.0     Purpose

Instrumentation Laboratory (IL) Company is committed to reducing the adverse, and improving the beneficial, impact of our activities, products and services through recognition and support of:

  • The key influential role of design and operation activities in environmental management
  • The link between public health and the environment
  • The compliance to federal, state and local regulations

2.0     Scope

This requirement applies to all IL facilities and their operations and any and all such documentation necessary to fulfill these requirements/obligations.


3.0     Policy

IL is committed to training and participating in environmental policy issues for the benefits of our employees, customers and the public. To this end, IL will:

  • Comply with all relevant environmental legislation, regulations and other public sector requirements
  • Prevent pollution, wherever possible and practicable, by the use of non-polluting techniques and practices
  • Continue to evaluate potential pollutants in new products by use of risk analysis in the design cycle
  • Continue to monitor and improve waste management through reduction, re-use and recycling
  • Consider the environmental impact of significant policy decisions
  • Continually inform and train our employees and biohazard and waste management issues.



 Orangeburg, NY Facility:

1.0     Statement:

Our policy is to be a responsible corporate citizen and protect the environment.  We are committed to complying with accepted environmental practices, including the commitment to comply with all local, state, and federal requirements.  We will strive for continual improvement in our environmental management system and will minimize the creation of wastes and pollution.


2.0     Scope:

This policy applies to the Instrumentation Laboratory facility located in Orangeburg, NY.

4.0     Objectives:

Management pledges to implement and operate within the ISO 14001 Environmental System to further enhance environmental performance.  Our main objectives are:

  • Use all forms of energy efficiently
  • Minimize the creation of wastes and pollution
  • Recycle materials in conformance to the Rockland County Sanitary Code and the County Flow Control Law
  • Routinely inform and train our employees on waste management issues.
